Inspection of Wire Ropes

In compliance with ISO4309:2019

On-board Inspection of Wire Ropes

• We recommend Discard of Wire Rope based on Severity Rating.
• We provide Service Reports required by Port Authorities.

Inspection at Critical Area

• Hoisting – 5 Areas (1, 2, 3, 4 & 5)
• Luffing – 4 Areas (1, 2, 3 & 5)

MORDEC WIRE ROPE MANAGEMENT (WRM) PROGRAM

Guides vessels on the:

• Maintenance and close observations of each wire rope from selection to final discard with the necessary guidelines through the Mordec Crane Rope User’s Handbook
• Analyze and process the findings from each inspection to determine the integrity of the wire rope
• Recommendations based on the discard criteria guidelines by ISO4309:2017 upon the submission of the Mordec Crane Wire Rope Inspection Check List
• Assessment of the cause of the problems and provide the recommendations on the possible corrective actions to be taken, should there be any problems with the wire ropes
• Guidelines on the proper Maintenance of the crane wire ropes
